Founded 1891 as the Natrona Tribune.

Acquired by J. E. Hanway from A. J. Molker in 1914.

Renamed the Casper Daily Tribune, 1916.

Sold by the Hanways to Wyoming Newspaper Publishers, 1961.

The present newspaper is the result of a 1965 merger. It is the largest newspaper in Wyoming and is the only statewide newspaper.

Sold to Lee Enterprises in 2002.
