Nonprofit, founded 1904 by Ernest Coulter, with Big Sisters following some time after that. In 1977, Big Brothers and Big Sisters merged. Their collective mission is "help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth."
