Well-liked TV presenter on NBC's flagship station, WNBC-TV in New York City. Born and raised in Greenwich Village, and learned her craft by attended an announcing school in Manhattan[1], but has apparently no other higher education. A bit of a pottymouth, given a notorious gaffe on 12 May 2008 for which she immediately apologized. Simmons was replaced in 2012 by Shiba Russells, the most likely reason for her dismissal being her $2.5M/year salary.
