Angelyne

AKA Renée Goldberg

Born: 2-Oct-1950 [1]
Birthplace: Undetermined Location, Poland

Gender: Female
Religion: Jewish
Race or Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Model

Nationality: United States
Executive summary: Hollywood billboard bimbo

Origin hazy, until The Hollywood Reporter tracked everything down.

"Some people become famous for music, films, TV, sports, whatever. I became famous for being on billboards. No one had ever done that before or even thought it was possible, especially without a specific project attached to the advertisements."

First billboard went up in 1984 (Daily Trojan, 17 February 1999). Her 2003 attempt as a novelty candidate for the office of California Governor got her 2,533 votes.

[1] An attorney representing Angelyne has stated that a birthdate of year 1958, the date reported by both IMDB and Political Graveyard, is incorrect. We must agree. She may be considerably older than this date, perhaps by a decade or two, if the "Angelyne Sightings Report" on the Los Angeles Grim Society is to be believed. The location of her birth is equally hazy. At least it was, until Gary Baum, "The Mystery of L.A. Billboard Diva Angelyne's Real Identity Is Finally Solved", The Hollywood Reporter, 2 August 2017.
