Investigative journalist and author of several books, most notably Case Closed, which challenged conspiracy theorists by purportedly showing that the Warren Commission was correct, that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Posner resigned as chief investigative reporter for the on-line source Daily Beast in 2010, after several documented instances of plagiarism. It was subsequently noted that his book Miami Babylon included numerous passages lifted from other authors' work.
