Founded 1883 as the New York Gothams, and became the New York Giants in 1885. Won National League pennants in 1904, 1905, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1917, 1921, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1933, 1936, 1937, 1951, and 1954, and won the World Series in 1905, 1921, 1922, 1933, and 1954. Franchise relocated in 1958 to become the San Francisco Giants.
