REVIEWS Review by Gary Hogan (posted on 21-Oct-2007) This wonderful little movie is a rare treat. It is like eating a warm apple pie fresh from the oven on a chilly day with the windows open and the curtains gently rippling in the fresh country air.. Delicious! Everyone in my family and my little southern town is in this hilarious dark comedy saying things that I have heard for years. In the accents and articulations that make the south a true opera of delightful sounds and characters. The messages are clear and meaningful. The actors step up to the edge of overacting but not over it. I see them all when I go to Catfish and More to the buffet. Drinking too sweet tea and sitting in the smoking section with countless others, butts lapping over the chairs ,table littered with plates. This movie is real. That scares me that these brilliant people can make me feel at home in this film. The writing is perfect again almost too much but right on. I haven't watched a movie twice in a long time . This one holds something new every time I play it. Thanks Del Shores , Leslie Jordan, Delta, Beth, Olivia, Bonnie, and all the rest of you for a true wake up call. What a blast.
