Social networking concern, founded 2003 by Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe. Owned largely by Intermix Media, which was acquired by News Corporation in 2005 for $580M, becoming a subsidiary of Fox Interactive Media. The non-MySpace assets of Intermix were acquired by Demand Media in 2006.
The site's popularity later dwindled, and in 2011 it was sold to Specific Media, an advertising network, for $35M.
