London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange, founded in 1982. It merged with the London Commodity Exchange in 1996 and became Europe's largest futures market. LIFFE became Euronext.LIFFE when it was acquired by Euronext in 2002. Merged into it were the derivatives markets of the other component Euronext changes.
