For a long time, the only bank willing to give loans to Las Vegas casinos -- though oddly, the Teamsters Central States Pension Fund would also do this. Merged with Reno-based Valley Bank in 1968, the combined entity being called Valley Bank. It was acquired by Bank of America in 1992.
