Maintains 150 upscale hotels under the various Wynhdam brands, and as Summerfield Suites, and an additional 40 hotels franchised from other brands such as Hilton or Crowne Plaza. Major shareholder is Apollo Investment Fund. The company was acquired by the Blackstone Group in 2005. Parts of Wyndham International were dispersed to Goldman Sachs, Columbia Sussex, and the Wyndham brand itself to Cendant. When Cendant dissolved itself in 2006, Wyndham and its other hotels became Wyndham Worldwide.
