Founded 1984 as International Oil Recovery Corporation by Ralph Weiser and Jerrold Blair. It acquired JCo Energy Partners in 1989, upon which its aviation fuel interests were renamed World Fuel Services. International Oil Recovery switched to that name in 1995 to better reflect its business.
