Disposable packaging for food service. Founded 1936 by Leo J. Hulseman as the Paper Container Manufacturing Co. The name was changed in 1946 to Solo Cup Company. It acquired arch-nemesis SF Holdings Group (parent company of Sweetheart Cup, Lily Cup, Hoffmaster Tissue, Fonda Brands) in 2004, and until this point, Solo Cup had been entirely owned by the Hulseman family. From 1998 to 2006, the company was run by Robert L. Hulseman, son of the founder.
