Boise Cascade
COMPANY
Timber company, formed 1957 when Cascade Lumber merged with Boise-Payette.
Boise Cascade became OfficeMax in 2004.
OfficeMax then sold its paper, building products, and timberlands to a private equity firm, Madison Dearborn Partners. This company reassumed the name Boise Cascade. A planned IPO in 2005 was cancelled. Madison Dearborn then sold the paper, packaging, and transportation assets to Aldabra 2 Acquisitions Corporation in 2008, which assumed the name Boise, Inc.
