COMPANY
Founded in 1952 by Vince McMahon, Sr. as Capitol Wrestling Corporation. Later operated as World Wide Wrestling Federation, then World Wrestling Federation. After a legal battle with World Wildlife Fund, which alleged that the public could be confused by having two organizations with the same initials, the World Wrestling Federation was re-named World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002.
