COMPANY

Founded 1931 as the Public Service Company of Indiana, in a reorganization of the Interstate Public Service Company. In 1994 it merged with Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company to form Cinergy, from which it ran as an intact subsidiary. Cinergy was acquired by Duke Energy in 2006.
