Since I sincerely love movies of the 30's and 40's, I was thrilled to see Hollywood recreate a film wit the spirit of that era. Although most modern critics missed its quailty, I felt this film to be a huge success. I have tried for years to purchase a copy of the film, but Peter Bogdanovich has done everything in his power to keep the film "in the can". Many years from now, I believe the film will be considered a classic. I only wish I could find a way to view this film again after my initial viewing over 20 years ago.
