ABSTRACT
Roger Ferris, a CIA agent working under the orders of American boss Ed Hoffman, heads to the unstable Middle Eastern nation of Jordan to track down a cleric responsible for carrying out a series of bombings targeting American allies in Europe. Operating alongside Jordanian head of security Hani Salaam, a tenuous ally demanding honesty from his Western "friends", Roger must resort to a variety of underhanded tactics including complicated lies and the utilization of double agents to get his man even as the Jordanians intend to make his endeavor a complicated one.
