Religulous (6-Sep-2008)

Director: Larry Charles Writer: Bill Maher Keywords: Documentary Bill Maher analyzes organized religion's place in the United States.
ABSTRACT Politically Incorrect and Real Time host Bill Maher does his best Michael Moore for this documentary, conducting interviews with adherents of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and a number of off-kilter smaller faiths, visiting a "Truckers' Chapel" and Kentucky's infamous Creation Museum, and quizzing believers about Jesus Christ's disputed background to weave an amusing true-life tale about organized religion in the United States. Of note: an interview with evangelical Arkansas senator Mark Pryor in which the elected official remarks that "you don't have to pass an IQ test to be in the Senate."
