ABSTRACT
A crowded market in the middle of modern-day London is decimated by a terrorist attack, leading to the detainment of suspected mastermind Farroukh Erdogan. When lawyers Martin Rose and Claudia Simmons-Howe, two individuals with a secret affair in their past that had proved damaging to Rose's marriage, are selected by the British Attorney General to represent Erdogan at his trial, they must find a way to balance their duty to provide their high-profile client with fair and proper representation with their loyalty to their country whilst contending with bad memories of their secret past and threats made against their lives.
