Streets of Fire (1-Jun-1984)

Director: Walter Hill

Writers: Walter Hill; Larry Gross

Musical Score by: Ry Cooder

Producers: Lawrence Gordon; Joel Silver

Keywords: Action/Adventure, Motorcycle Gang, Kidnapping

A Rock and Roll Fable set in Another Time, Another Place: The Queen of the Hop is kidnapped by a motorcycle gang; her ex-boyfriend and a soldier are hired to rescue her. Of course, this infuriates the gang further. 1950s B-movie with good 1980s music soundtrack. Very stylish. Received scathing reviews when released but has found new life as a cult classic.
