Continuation to Journey to the Center of the Earth's storyline follows the film franchise's young hero as he embarks on another high-stakes exotic adventure.

ABSTRACT
Set four years after the events of its preceding film, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island focuses on Sean Anderson, now eighteen years of age, as he is apprehended by authorities for a bungled attempt at breaking into a satellite research center. Upon finding out that Sean had attempted to break into the center to boost the signal of a mysterious code pertaining to characters from Jules Verne novels, stepfather Hank agrees to aid him in his endeavors, joining him in a multi-continent search for a mysterious island with coordinates hidden in Verne novels as their guide.
