Four crooks team together to steal $20M in diamonds, then each engages in backstabbing and manipulations to keep the loot from the others. Excellent comedy of errors, in a tale of greed and mistrust sometimes verging on sex comedy. Charles Crichton's final effort as director. Kevin Kline won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor; the film also received nominations for Best Director and Best Screenplay.
