ABSTRACT
British rent-a-cop Dennis, overweight and a tad difficult, left then-pregnant fiancee Libby at the altar five years ago, failing numerous times to re-enter her life ever since. Dennis learns that Libby, now the mother to precocious five-year old son Jake, has promised herself to handsome American corporate suit Whit; desperate now more than ever to win her back, Dennis endeavors to run a marathon to prove his worthiness, enlisting a gambling-obsessed pal and his Indian landlord as offbeat motivational support as he strives towards his goal.
