ABSTRACT
Jackie Moon, past-his-prime NBA player, agrees to reverse the faltering fortunes of the American Basketball Association's Flint Tropics by serving as the franchise's owner, coach, and star player. News that the fledgling ABA will seek a merger with the NBA allowing the league's four best teams to be absorbed into the more successful organization drives Jackie into action, determined to lead his motley crew of athletes and hard-up community to prominence with an "everybody-love-everybody" philosophy.
