ABSTRACT
Victoria, an assertive, beautiful young woman from a rough royal background, takes the throne as Queen of England at eighteen. Her earliest days in power are marked by high-running romantic tension with German cousin Albert, a connection that will prove to be her ultimate personal undoing when their eventual failed marriage pushes her into a life of seclusion. Won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design; nominated for Best Set Decoration and Best Makeup.
