Expansive history of computer Bulletin Board Systems commencing from Ward Christensen's original CBBS in 1978 through their obsolescence in the late 1990s. Eight episodes totaling nearly 5 hours, drawn from hundreds of interviews with key figures; topics covered include Fidonet, the ANSI art scene, and the underground hacking/phreaking BBS's. Jason Scott's first documentary, shot entirely on digital.
