ABSTRACT
Molly Mahoney is the twenty-three-year old manager of the whimsical Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium toy store, saddled with what she feels is a dead-end job reporting to eccentric store owner Edward Magorium. One day, Edward declares that it is time for him to "go", claiming to be two hundred and forty-three years old as he hands ownership of the Emporium over to the awkward Molly; out of her element, Molly tries to convince Edward to stay to preside over the wild and wonderful store another day as strange events begin to occur.
