Elliot Ness assembles a handpicked team specifically to bring him to justice. Intense and brutal low-brow action; although the major characters are based on historical figures, this is very much a work of fiction. Sean Connery won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor; received nominations for Best Original Score, Best Set Decoration and Best Costume Design.
