Director: Anubhav Sinha Writers: David Benullo; Kanika Dhillon; Niranjan Iyengar; Shahrukh Khan; Mushtaq Sheikh; Anubhav Sinha Keywords: Bollywood A game developer's life is thrown into a tailspin when his manufactured digital villain breaks free of his creation.
ABSTRACT Shekhar Subramanium, an Indian employee of a London-based video game design firm, is delivered an ultimatum from his boss following a string of commercial failures: Shape up and develop a successful game, or face termination. Emboldened by son Prateek and wife Sonia's input, Shekhar creates a video game featuring Ra.One, a near-indestructible "ultimate supervillain" more powerful than the game's protagonist. Ignoring glitches present during testing, Skekhar pushes the game forward into release, leading to a calamity that leaves him dead and others forced to stop the madness when Ra.One becomes self-aware and breaks beyond the boundaries of his digital domain.
