Hoover Niebold is smitten with pretty Darlene, and decides to impress her by stealing the fastest race car in the county for a joyride. Oh and his father is the inept sheriff. Fun car-chase film produced for the drive-in movie crowd. In the wake of the success of this film, Ron Howard was allowed to direct his first, Grand Theft Auto (1977).
