Mild-mannered accountant Leo Bloom discovers a minor embezzlement from producer Max Bialystock's latest Broadway play, and remarks to Bialystock the ease at which money can be extracted from unsuccessful plays. Bialystock and Bloom become partners in the intentionally worst play ever, Springtime for Hitler. Won an Oscar for Best Screenplay; received an additional nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
