A Chicago weatherman with a desirable career must decide between success in his personal or professional life when a new job opportunity presents itself.

ABSTRACT
Dave Spritz, a Chicago weatherman with an agreeable career and promising future in his field, struggles with a haphazard personal life running entirely contrary to his professional fortunes thanks to an ailing perfectionist father, estranged ex-wife, and embattled children. An enticing job opportunity in New York City comes along one day, forcing Dave to make amends with his Illinois family to the best of his rapidly-diminishing abilities before he departs.
