Otto Maddox, fired from his job as a supermarket clerk and with poor future prospects, accepts a quick $25 from "Bud" to drive a car, only learning later that he was repossessing the vehicle. More repossessions find him liking the idea, and confluent with his disaffected 1980s punk rock lifestyle. Bud has some unconventional theories about space aliens and time machines. Sought by all repo men is a particular 1964 Chevy Malibu (also sought by blond-haired FBI agents, or maybe Secret Service agents?), earning a $20,000 bounty if it is found. Highly influential film.
