The King's Speech (6-Sep-2010)

Director: Tom Hooper Writer: David Seidler Composer: Alexandre Desplat Producers: Iain Canning; Emile Sherman; Gareth Unwin Keywords: Drama, British Royalty, Biography The true story of soon-to-be King George VI and his struggle to overcome his stammer with the help of a wry speech therapist. The challenge is everyday, the historical context daunting and its conclusion well-known; thus the film reduces to a holiday friendship tale between the uncertain royal and his cheerleading Henry Higgins. Contains strong language, albeit in a pedagogical context.
