Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman are Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, investigating the Watergate break-in; their informant, "Deep Throat", drops hints to point the two in the proper direction without revealing details which might compromise his identity. As the scandal unfolds it threatens the Nixon Presidency.
