ABSTRACT
Guido Contini, an aging director as conceited as he is successful, suffers from an uncharacteristic block in his creative process as he searches for a new project to tackle. Desperate for a measure of inspiration, Guido decides to consult a cast of women including his wife, mistress, and mother for help, encountering greater trouble as his relationships tangle with his craft.
