Newspaper journalist Sue Charlton travels to Walkabout Creek in the Australian outback to pursue a feature story on legendary crocodile hunter Mike Dundee; she convinces him to travel to New York City, but Dundee finds that he is unfamiliar with many aspects of modern life.
