ABSTRACT
Widower David Callaway moves with daughter Emily into a new house away from the city, struggling to repair his fractured existence in the wake of his wife's suicide. For young Emily, solace arrives in the form of imaginary friend Charlie, much to the relief of her father; as she begins to exhibit morbid and unsettling behavioral tendencies, however, it becomes obvious that something must be done before the mysterious Charlie leads her to a horrible end.
