Dial M for Murder (29-May-1954)

Director: Alfred Hitchcock Writer: Frederick Knott From a play by: Frederick Knott Music Composed and Conducted by: Dimitri Tiomkin Keywords: Thriller Former tennis player Tony Wendice concocts a scheme to murder his wealthy and unfaithful wife Margot, by blackmailing an associate into committing the deed. But his plan goes awry and Margot manages to kill her assailant; Tony adapts by ingeniously framing her for murder. Lightweight, elaborate plot-driven suspense thriller, though rather weak in character development. Grace Kelly's talents are largely wasted. Remade as A Perfect Murder (1998).
