ABSTRACT
Ian McCormack, a New Zealand man taken by a love of surfing, draws the ire of his avowedly Christian parents at a young age by renouncing his faith in God and, furthermore, pledging himself to surf and the pursuit of "the perfect wave". Ian sets out on a globetrotting journey of self-discovery, enduring love found and lost and a number of surf-related pitfalls as he ultimately comes back to his old faith.
