A cop from a rough background looks to stop his son from following in his father's footsteps.

ABSTRACT
Time-worn police officer Vincent LaMarca lives his life with an eye to remaining free and clear of his past -- namely, his father's execution after getting caught up in a kidnapping plot resulting in murder. History threatens to repeat itself as Vincent's son Joey becomes embroiled in a drug-related killing, leading Vincent to abandon his personal island of solitude in favor of an attempt to prevent his son from meeting the same fate as his father.
