A skilled con artist is forced into the riskiest endeavor of his life after he inadvertently pilfers money from a mob boss's accountant.

ABSTRACT
Time-tested grifter Jake Vig, an expert in the art of the con, successfully scams helpless accountant Lionel Dolby with the aid of his usual crew. Crewmate "Big Al" Moorley and Dolby's violent deaths shortly thereafter lead Jake to learn that Dolby had been notorious crime boss Winston King's personal accountant; now, Jake must pull off the con of his life in "The King"'s service is he is to save his hide and live to con another day.
