Middle-aged Irene is married to a most desirable career, working as a luxury hotel critic who checks into elegant rooms in secret to compose reviews of them. Every time-intensive line of work comes with its price, of course, and for Irene, that means she has little in the way of a personal life. A Five Star Life follows Irene as she attempts to balance her job with her desire for a meaningful existence alongside bumbling sister Silvia and ex-lover Andrea.
