A man who'd killed himself on Earth searches for his old lover in a sort of Purgatory reserved for those who'd committed suicide.

ABSTRACT
Zia, a troubled young man distraught over his breakup with girlfriend Desiree, kills himself by slitting his wrists; he is subsequently sent to a desolate sort of Purgatory for those who'd committed suicide filled with all kinds of disaffected people and sad things. Taking a job at a peculiar pizza place, Zia hears tell of Desiree's presence in their Purgatory ever since she committed suicide a few months after he did, setting out on a journey with a musician and hitchhiker to find her and answer questions about their reasons for existing in their strange netherworld.
