Sacha Baron Cohen romp follows a gay Austrian fashionista as he attempts to bring his shtick across the ocean to America.

Bruno, a flamboyant Austrian fashion icon, enjoys widespread popularity in his native country and across German-speaking Europe with fashion-centered TV show Funkyzeit. When Bruno inadvertently disgraces himself in front of his time-worn fan base, he makes a snap decision to relocate to Los Angeles, taking personal assistant Lutz along with him as he seeks to reinvent himself in a manner permitting him to become palatable to the English-speaking masses.
