Set in 1937, an American leads desert fighters against Nazi occupiers who are trying to build a railroad in French West Africa. Remake of The Desert Song (1929), itself an adaptation of a successful Broadway play, to match current events. Several new songs were added. For years it was unavailable for copyright issues.
