A disgraced Seattle cop joins forces with a young recruit to thwart a tech-savvy bank robber.

ABSTRACT
Quentin Conners, top-flight Seattle detective suspended after a hostage situation gone awry, is reinstated to work alongside up-and-coming rookie Shane Dekker to defuse master thief Lorenz's planned robbery of a major bank. Lorenz evidently goes without pilfering a penny from the bank; it is soon discovered that his crew, evidently obsessed with chaos theory, infiltrated the bank to plant a computer virus designed to steal money. Adding another layer of conflict to an already convoluted situation, Quentin and Shane must investigate a series of murders of members of Lorenz's squad.
