ABSTRACT
Roy Walker, a movie stuntman left a paraplegic in a 1920s Los Angeles hospital following a horrible on-set accident, meets and befriends Alexandria, a young girl and fellow patient recovering from a broken arm. Acquiescing to her request for a story, Roy utilizes his knack for a good tale to craft a fable of six men in a faraway land out to assassinate a wicked provincial governor, drifting further and further into a wild and wonderful world of his own creation as hospital painkillers and his damaged psyche take hold and edge him towards a sad end.
