Director: Jonathan Glazer
Writers: Louis Mellis; David Scinto
Keywords: Crime, Bank Robbery
An ex-gangster finds himself locked into a battle with an old cohort seeking to drag him out of retirement for a big heist.
Once-fearsome gangster Gary Dove abandons his life of crime in favor of a quiet existence in rural Spain, enjoying the company of wife Deedee and friends. The unexpected arrival of one-time partner Don Logan into Gary's life shatters his sunny disposition when the active criminal requests his assistance in robbing a large bank, escalating into a heated -- and potentially devastating -- standoff when Don refuses to go along with his plan.

Great movie! Small and intriguing, yet
pivotal, role by the now very famous Ian McShane (Deadwood on HBO) as
Teddy Bass, and an oscar nominated performance by the incomparable Ben
Kingsley as Don Logan. But the true center of this film is Ray Winstone
as Gary "Gal" Dove, a 'retired' gangster who is pressed back into doing
one last job in a surprising turn of events. This film is a diamond in
the rough when compared to many of its contemporary gangster films,
it's smart, funny, sexy and has great music. You'll never close your
eyes while sitting at the pool again!
